Complete guide to using the Waterside Credit Memo Platform. Learn how to manage data collection, generate AI-powered memos, collaborate with your team, and ensure USDA compliance.
Welcome to Waterside
This platform streamlines USDA B&I credit memo creation by combining intelligent document management, AI-powered generation, and regulatory compliance tools. Follow this guide to get started.
Quick Start (5 Steps)
Create a Project
Navigate to Projects → New Project. Enter borrower details, select program template (B&I, Construction, REAP, etc.), and configure basic settings.
Add Entities
Add borrowers and guarantors. Each entity gets independent document tracking. Assign short names (e.g., "OPCO", "PROPCO") for auto-renaming files.
Upload Documents
Upload financials, tax returns, appraisals, etc. AI will suggest which collection items each file matches. Accept suggestions or manually assign.
Generate Sections
Navigate to the Credit Memo tab. Select a section (e.g., "Section 6 - Capacity"), optionally adjust settings via the Config button, and click Generate. CORE Assist analyzes all relevant files and creates the section.
Review & Collaborate
Use track changes to edit, comment to discuss with team, and accept/reject changes. Export final memo to Word/PDF when approved.
Entities
Each project can have multiple borrowers (primary credit obligors) and guarantors (secondary support). Each entity gets independent document tracking and templates.
Templates
Templates define memo structure (H1-H4 headings), required sections, and document collections. Choose from 13 USDA program templates or create custom ones.
Skills
Skills are instructions that guide AI generation. All 4 layers (Foundation, Section, Role, Execution) live inside blueprints as complete packages. Edit skills in the Blueprint Editor to update templates, or edit within a project to create deal-specific overrides.
Roles
AI roles (Analyst, Senior Analyst, Reviewer) define writing style and expertise level. Each role has unique skills that control tone, depth, and focus.
